Ross County Moved To High COVID-19 Alert

(RCHD Press Release) – Ross County is currently seeing an increase in reported COVID-19 cases. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has classified Ross County as a “high level” of community transmission of COVID-19. According to the CDC, Ross County currently has a COVID-19 case rate per 100,000 population at 262.18 (last 7 days), which is a 39.5% change from the previous 7 days.

The CDC reports Ross County as having a New COVID-19 hospital admissions rate per 100,000 population at 25.4 (last 7 days) which is a 104.20 % change in new admissions of confirmed COVID-19 hospitalizations from the previous 7 days. 

RCHD continues to recommend those eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination to get vaccinated and keep up on your booster vaccinations when eligible. RCHD recommends anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 to get tested and to stay home and isolate when sick or positive for COVID-19.  RCHD continues to offer COVID-19 vaccines at the RCHD Public Health Nursing Clinic Monday through Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. You can also receive a free at home COVID-19 test kit at our office if you are experiencing symptoms and need tested.
