The Ross County Park District continues to make news their diligence to bring more recreational opportunities to the community.

Joe Letsche reported on the District’s Facebook page that Colleen McCord and Erin Stanley spent Monday visiting all the Chillicothe Ross County Public Library locations and installing the receptacles for the sports gear collection program Bounce Back that the Park District and Kazy Alan Richmond from the non-profit Greenies have been working on for the past few weeks.

“Bounce Back is a program that takes donations of new and used sports equipment, and even cash donations, from those who have a little to spare, and puts it into the hands of the Ross county kids who need it most. The program is about community and inclusion and health and wellness, regardless of the kid’s ability to pay.”

You can drop off gear at any of the library branches or at Old Capital Brewing on Paint Street. Or you can donate cash or gift cards by following the QR code in our story or calling Myranda at the park district office at (740) 773-8794.
