Jenn Thomas of The Ross County Humane Society was our guest on the Litter Media- Special Edition, where she provided an update about their current capital campaign to construct a new shelter.
Their original goal was $1.5 million, but has increased to $2 million in construction costs, due to the COVID Pandemic price spikes. They still are seeking approximately $300,000 to reach their goal. Thomas says they would like to start the construction project “completely funded” for the 7,600 square feet project.
The humane society’s annual operating budget is $500,000, which comes from contributions and pet adoptions.
