Warren Wins D-1 Girls Sectional Golf Crown/Manchester D-3 Boys District Winner

Golf championships were awarded in Boys Division 3 District and Girls Division 1 Sectional action, Monday.

In the Girls Division 1 Sectional, Warren won the team title with a 391, followed by Miami Trace at 392 and Chillicothe third at 407. Each of the. three teams advance to the district round.

The top three individual players to qualify for district are: Saylor Wharff of Marietta (85), Aldridge Ashley of Logan (86) and Lisa Liu of Athens (97).

In Division 3 Boys Districts, Manchester won the team title with a 330 and is the lone school to advance to the state tournament. The lone individual golfer to qualify for state is Cameron Phillips of Valley with a 68.

FAC Golf Nears Season End/Burg Still Controls SOC

The 4th FAC girls golf match was held on Tuesday evening at The Greens in Washington Courthouse. 

Chillicothe came in with the low score of 196. They were followed by Miami Trace with a 206, McClain with a 238, Jackson 250, Hillsboro 251, and Washington with a 266. 

Match Co-Medalist honors went to Miami Trace’ Libby Aleshire and Chillicothe’s Isabella Fisher who both fired a 40. 

With one more league match and the league tournament left to play the standings are as follows: Miami Trace (18-2), Chillicothe (18-2), McClain (11-9), Jackson (8-12), Hillsboro (3-17), Washington (2-18).

In Monday Boys FAC Golf at Greenfield:
Washington CH 166, McClain 175, Chillicothe 186, Hillsboro 191, Jackson 195, Miami Trace 206

Co-Medalist: Garrett Wahl- Washington CH & Wes Potts – McClain (38)

In the Southern Ohio Conference (SOC), Wheelersburg continues their roll with a convincing win.

Wheelersburg won with a team score 168. Then came Minford 180, Waverly 203, Portsmouth West 216, Northwest 233

Medalist honors went to Owen Mault of Wheelersburg, with a (34).
