The Unioto Track & Field teams repeated as SVC champions. For the Shermans, it makes two in a row, while the Lady Shermans have now won four consecutive titles- considering that the 2020 season was cancelled due to COVID.
Unioto Boys won with 153 points, followed by runner-up Zane Trace with 120. Paint Valley had 84, Adena 75.5, Huntington 72, Westfall 67, Southeastern 45, and Piketon with 43.5.
The Lady Shermans claim a team championship with 175 points, Adena was runner-up with 159. Then comes Zane Trace at 100.5, Westfall 67, Huntington 60, Piketon 48.5, Paint Valley 33, and Southeastern 15.
The meet was conducted at Huntington High School’s Myrle Shoemaker Athletic Complex, but the track was dedicated during ceremonies and named Coach Rick Bethel Track, in honor of retired long-time coach Rick Bethel, who led the Lady Huntsmen to numerous league and postseason titles.
