Vinton County Among Ohio Counties To Receive Spongy Moth Treatments

(ODA) – The Ohio Department of Agriculture will be aerial spraying to stop the spread of the spongy moth- an invasive species that destroys trees and shrubs. The treatment is not harmful to humans, animals, bees or plants.

A virtual open house either next Wednesday, February 15th from 6pm-7pm or Friday, February 17th from Noon-1pm. 

Spraying is happening in parts of Delaware, Guernsey, Knox, Licking, Morrow, Muskingum, Putnam, Vinton and Washington Counties.
