Westfall Finishes 7th in Girls State Golf

Westfall’s Lady Mustangs placed 7th in the Division 2 Girls State Golf Tournament, closing their second round of play on Saturday.

Westfall fired a two-day total of 727, shooting a 364 on Saturday after carding a 363 on Friday. The one stroke difference dropped the Lady Mustangs from their 5th place start to a final of 7th place in the state.

Paige Weiss and Emily Cook were Westfall’s top two individual scorers, both with a two day total of 171, which tied them for 23rd place.

Columbus Academy won the state championship with a two day total of 647- 23 strokes ahead of runner-up Garaway.
