(Pickaway County) – The Pickaway County Board of Developmental Disabilities has announced that Marie Wilbanks will succeed Mike Pelcic as superintendent in 2024.
After a comprehensive search, Pickaway DD has voted to approve Marie Wilbanks as the board’s next superintendent, following the retirement of Mike Pelcic on December 31, 2023.
Wilbanks has worked for Pickaway DD for more than 17 years and has served as the Director of Service and Support Administration, Medicaid and Compliance for the past 12 years. During her tenure as SSA Director, Pelcic has mentored her for the role of superintendent.
“We have a chance to make real and meaningful changes in people’s lives and it’s an honor and a privilege to be placed in a position to oversee this work. I will take this very seriously and work as hard as I know how to provide the best experience possible for everyone,” Wilbanks stated.
