Winter Storm Forecast With Spring On The Horizon

With the first day of Spring in sight, a Winter Storm Warning has been issued for much of the southern half of Ohio by the National Weather Service for March 11th-12th. The first day of Spring is March 20th.

The Winter Storm Warning in effect 7pm Friday, March 11th through 1pm Saturday, March 12th.

Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are possible for Central, South Central, Southeast and Southwest Ohio and Northeast and Northern Kentucky.

After warm temperatures on Friday, temperatures will fall below freezing Friday night as much colder air moves in. Brisk conditions are then expected on Saturday with high temperatures remaining in the upper 20’s.

As this storm moves up to the northeastern states, it could dump up to one foot of snow.

After the snow in Ohio, it’s likely it won’t stay on the ground for long as temperatures are expected to clim to 44 on Sunday, 58 Monday and 60’s and higher Tuesday through Friday of next week.
