Zane Trace Boys & Unioto Girls Claim ZT Invitational Crowns

Zane Trace Boys and Unioto Girls took advantage of the best weather for an area high school track meet this Spring, winning the Zane Trace Invitational Tuesday night. Runners and field event competitors had some of their best distances and times thus far in the 2024 season as most of the early meets have been held in wet and cold conditions.

The Lady Shermans of Unioto won the girls team title with 108.67 points. Hillsboro edged Wheelersburg for second place 89.33 points to 88.33 in the 12 team field.

The following teams finished in this order: Amanda CC, Washington, Adena, Zane Trace, Huntington, Piketon, Southeastern, Chillicothe and Paint Valley.

Host Zane Trace won the boys meet with 139 points, 27 points ahead of runner-up Wheelersburg. Hillsboro place third in the 13 team boys field.

The following teams finished in this order: Unioto, Adena, Amanda CC, Huntington, Washington, Southeastern, Paint Valley, Chillicothe, Eastern Pike and Piketon.
