2022 DFKS Nets Over $85,000 for Big Brothers-Big Sisters of SCO

The 11th Annual Dance For Kids’ Sake fundraiser tallied a new record.

Benefiting Big Brothers-Big Sisters of South Central Ohio, DFKS ’22 raised over $85,000 for the mentoring agency. The exact number will be announced at a later date by organizers.

The Audience’s Choice was Ashley Wertman and Logan Green representing Kenworth Trucking. The Judges’ Choice was Chillicothe City School’s Billie Barnes and Mike Maughmer dancing for the area faith based communities. Adena health System’s Kory and Sarah Lambert raised the most money and were awarded the coveted Children’s Champion crystal.

Also dancing Saturday were High Five Cakes’ Sarah Myers with her son Hendrix; Dwell Real Estate’s Corrie and Johnnie Johnson; Trey Thompkins, United Way Fayette County; Marie Wilbanks, Pickaway Board of Developmental Disabilities and Herrnstein Auto Group’s Chance Woods.

The event was held in the Steer Barn of the Ross County Fairgrounds. Celebrity judges for this year’s show were Erin Fields with Paper City Coffee Mentoring, Comedian Lori Graves and CCSD teacher/SOSA sportswriter Brock Netter.
