The Circleville Pumpkin Show gets underway Wednesday morning with the official opening at 9am at the corner of Court and Main Streets. That will be immediately followed by the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-In Contest.
What is known as the Greatest Free Show On Earth, has their Annual Pumpkin Show Preview on Tuesday evening. The Show runs through Saturday night.
The Circleville Pumpkin Show started in 1903 as an agricultural exhibit and street fair. The non-profit Circleville Pumpkin Show Inc. started on August 8, 1946.
An estimated 400,000 visitors come to the event in Circleville each year.
