Area Girls Golfers Advance To D-2 District Tournament

Several area golfers have qualified for the Division 2 Girls District Tournament with top 5 finishes at the sectionals Monday at both Chillicothe Jaycees and Franklin Valley Golf Courses.

At Chillicothe Jaycee Sectional, top five qualifying teams are: Sheridan 340, Westfall 347, Circleville 394, Fairfield Union 416, and Manchester 421.

Individual qualifiers not on a qualifying team are Riley McKenzie of Crooksville 77, Sydney Ater of Adena 87, Emma Winland of Paint Valley 88, Lauren Betz of Zane Trace 98, and Olivia Howard of Unioto 103.

At Franklin Valley Sectional, top five teams to qualify were: Gallia Academy 373, Waterford 419, Wellston 442, Federal Hocking 449, and Portsmouth West 463.

Individual qualifiers not on a qualifying team were Jaya Booth of Vinton County 94, Carrington McGlothin of Peebles 95, Sidnea Belville of South Point 98, Maggie Armstrong of Piketon 99, and Ava Messer of South Webster 101.
