Area Players/Coach Named All Ohio Volleyball

Adena sweeps Westfall (25-19, 25-21, 25-12)

(OHSVCA) — Several area high school volleyball players have been named All Ohio by the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association.

Division 3 First Team honors include Jenna Martin of Adena. Her teammate Ellie Harper is Third Team All Ohio. Warriors Coach Laura Smith is Division 3 Coach of the Year, an honor she also won in 1993 when the Warriors were State Runner-Up. Adena is in the D-3 State Tournament this year.

Marissa Mullins of Westfall is Second Team All Ohio along with Ryleigh Meeker of Wheelersburg.

Other Division 3 honorees were Third Team selections Lexi Scott of Zane Trace and Huntington’s Megan Steele, along with Harper.

The D-3 Honorable Mention list includes Huntington’s Allison Basye, Westfall’s Claire Latham, and Southeastern’s Hannah Lougheed and Lexie Lockwood.

In Division 2, Faith Stinson of Sheridan is Second Team, Vinton County’s Cameron Zinn is Third Team All Ohio and Bloom Carroll’s McKenna Wiseman is Honorable Mention along with Ally Perkins of Sheridan.

South Webster’s Faith Maloney is a Division 4 First Team selection, leading her squad to the school’s first volleyball Final 4. Maloney’s fellow Jeep Graci Claxon is Honorable Mention.
