Ashville 4th of July Celebration is Underway

The reign of Sophia Seymour, Miss Ashville 4th of July 2022, is nearing its end. Seymour and her court, 1st Attendant Kiera Scott and 2nd Attendant Marissa Purcell, will help crown the 2023 royalty Sunday evening during the festival’s pageant at 6:30pm.

There are thirteen girls competing for the crown, ranging from age 14 to 17. All are residents of the Teays Valley School District.

The contestants include:

  • Kadie Meddock (16), daughter of Michael & Kelly Meddock
  • Jenna Pence (15), daughter of Chris and Christy Pence
  • Kaylea Wotring (16), daughter of Joe & Heidi Wotring
  • Aniah Brown (15), daughter of Craig & Cindy Ramey
  • Erin Coleman (16), daughter of Timothy & Misty Coleman
  • Laney Tussing (16), daughter of Chris & Chrissie Tussing
  • Sydne Jones (16), daughter of Ryan & Amy Jones
  • Katie Reynard (16), daughter of Jeff & Brandi Reynard
  • Leigha McManes (16), daughter of Aaron & Lindsay McManes
  • Natalie Bailey (14), daughter of Ken & Amy Bailey
  • Sarah Laxton (17), daughter of Bradley & Misty Laxton
  • Rebecca Light (15), daughter of Robert & Heidi Light

The Ashville 4th of July celebration continues through Tuesday, culminating with the annual fireworks display at Ashville Park at 10pm.
