Auto Cross Coming To Pike County Fair

(Piketon) – Organizers of Auto Cross for the Pike County Fair are gearing up for their August 5th event. The event is called the American Super Sports Off-Road Auto Cross. 

R.J. Perkins says- “We are super excited to team up with the Pike County Fair and bring in Auto Cross. We are looking to become a new fan favorite event here at the Pike County Fair. An event that has really started to take off and really be a fan favorite is the Auto Cross Event. Watching your typical cars that just come off the streets hitting jumps and running into each other around a track just brings excitement to everybody.”

Perkins says they have elevated the event another notch. “We took it one step further and wanted to involve our SXS into the event. We are keeping the “bumping” to a limit on the SXS class. We don’t want it to be a derby out on the track. We are offering an awesome pay out for this event with over $5,000 guaranteed. Bringing in over 30 loads of dirt and an experienced track builder we are excited to hopefully pack the stands and pit area to provide a show the Pike County Fair won’t forget.” 

Pre-Sign Ups started June 1^st and end August 1^st  with $25 entry fee. If you sign up in advance, you are entered into a drawing for a free Auto Cross Car for the event (Drawing takes place July 1^st).  Entry fee is $35 for drivers after August 1^st and at the event. 

Classes Include the following: 
UTV Class, Front Wheel Drive, Rear Wheel Drive, 4×4

UTV Class- 1^st = $1,000 2^nd= $200 3^rd= $100

Front Wheel Drive- 1^st=$1,000 2^nd=$500 3^rd=$200

4×4 & Rear Wheel- 1^st=$800 2^nd=$400 3^rd=$100
