Bristol Village Celebrates 60th Anniversary

Activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Waverly, Ohio based Bristol Village, run June 22-26.

Here is a schedule of activities:

June 22 – 10:30am – Stroll Run or Roll Benefits the Bristol Village Foundation and kicks off our week of celebrations, Registration: $40. 

12:00 Noon – Celebration Picnic at the Melligan Pavilion for all Villagers. Enjoy an Amish picnic menu, $5 per person. Join the fun in the afternoon with your neighbors along with outdoor games. 

June 23 – 12:00 Noon: Multipurpose Room-Glenn Center. Luncheon for 2nd generation families. 

3:00pm: Afternoon celebration at Healthcare Center with sundae bar, music and recognition celebration for 90’s and 1 00’s and former employees who live in the Village. 

6:30-8:30pm: Special Edition Enrichment Hour, Glenn Center -BV history videos, intermission and refreshments, special recognition for those 90’s and 1 00’s, skits and BV puzzle winners. 

June 24 – 1:00-4:00pm: Open House for all Villagers and games. Follow the map in your Passport and get stamped at the highlighted locations and activities for prizes. Visit natural areas of the Village, Museum Cottage, Marketing tour of model homes, Resident Garden Tour, Scioto Valley Model Railroad Club, sporting demonstrations and much more. Have fun exploring your Village! 

June 25 – 11:00am-3:00pm: Classic Car Show and food trucks. Travel back in time and reminisce with classic car owners from all over the area. Car Show located in. the grassy area behind the Glenn Center. Free to attend, purchase your own lunch and treats. 

5:15pm: Glenn Center. Dinner/Potluck with 60’s trivia, fashion show, and photo booth. Wear your 60’s attire! Bring a dish to share-pizza will also be available. Cost: free. 

June 26 – 10:00am-2:00pm: Founder’s Day at the Healthcare Center with family fun activities. 

2:30pm: Concert at Healthcare Center presented by Bristol Village musicians. Refreshments served. 

6:00pm: Tranquility Park Candlelight remembrance and blessing. Join Chaplain Paul Girdley and resident presenters for a time of remembrance and memorial. All residences welcome.
