(Chillicothe)- The Chillicothe City Transit System has made more progress with their AARP Community Challenge Grant.

Two bus shelters have been installed along the new fixed-routes, one at the Chillicothe and Ross County Public Library (Main Library), serving all routes, and one near AMVETS, serving the Bridge Street and Shuttle Routes. Funding for this project was provided by AARP Livable Communities.

A second improvement was the installation of a outdoor bike tire pump at the transit hub (575 E. 7th Street). As a reminder, bikes may be “checked out” for free with a library card at the transit station as part of the library’s Book-A-Bike program.
