Earth Gathering Schedule Set for April 23rd

(Chillicothe) – The Annual Earth Gathering is set for April 23rd in Yoctangee Park, centered around the Pump House Center for the Arts.

The event is a juried invitational art festival hosted by the Chillicothe Art League, with an Earth Day theme and designed to enlighten, entertain, and inspire the public with Earth-friendly art, music, food, products, and ideas.

Applicants reside within a 100 mile radius of Chillicothe and create hand made art or sell products that are inspired by nature or have a recycled or natural theme. The mostly outdoor festival features approximately 30 vendors and organizational booths along with 7 musical acts throughout the day with healthy food options available, this year, from Loving Healthy Farms (menu will be posted).

Local non-profit organizational booths in line with the event are also available. The deadline for booth applications is always March 1. They are no longer accepting applications.

Music gets underway at Noon from Ben Haynes, of Kingston; 1 p.m. Matt Moon, of Rockbridge with Corey Gahm, of Chillicothe; 2 p.m. Ben True and the Basement Collective with Ben True, Nick Davisson, Jarret Kelly, Jonathan Thompson; 3 p.m. Hillbilly Chic with Paul Brown, Richard Moore, Bryan Joseph, John Victor, Barry Barnes; 4 p.m. Jesse Powers, singer/songwriter from Columbus; 5 p.m. Gathering Stars with Michelle Ishida, Carole Walker, Stephanie Sambroak, Bill Patrick, Jeff Plavcan, Los Giles, Johnny Polansky.

Earth Gathering is hosted by the Chillicothe Art League, which also hosts the corresponding art show inside the Pump House during the month of April.
