Fairfield Union Boys 3rd & Unioto 6th In OHSAA State Cross Country Championships

Fairfield Union Boys had the highest team finish among Southeast District teams in the OHSAA Cross Country Championships Saturday at Obetz.

The Falcons placed fourth, while the Unioto Shermans were sixth in Division 2.

Top 10 individual finishers included Marcus Runkle of Fairfield Union at 3rd, Marietta’s Ezra Minard in 7th, Charles Putnam of Portsmouth in 9th place and Tate Ruthers of Sheridan in 10th. Andrew Walton of Fairfield Union was also a top 15 finisher, placing 14th.

The lone top 10 finisher in the Southeast District for Division 2 Girls went to Sophia Szolosi of Athens in 8th place. Marie Souther of Zane Trace placed 11th.

In Division 3 Boys, Whiteoak’s Landen Eyre placed 5th. Adena’s Ryan Richendollar was 15th.
