The Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 435 Lafayette Street in Greenfield will be celebrated by the community July 19th, between 1pm-4pm.

The church was founded in 1866, but the actual building was built in Greenfield in the year 1874.

The Open House will enable the community to step inside the historical church and read a chapter of the history of one of the first African-American churches in Greenfield.

Doug Karnes, a member of the Greenfield Historical Society says- “This building has played an important part of the history of Greenfield and we want to see that continue into the future, as we begin work on renovations. Join us in our journey.”

Light refreshments will be served outside the church during the Open House. There will also be music and chairs and tents will be set upo outside for visitors to sit.

There is currently no restroom facilities.
