Local Church Brings Movies Back To Poland Park

Poland Park Entrance

Presented By Atomic Speedway

After a year off due to the pandemic, Chillicothe’s First Wesleyan Church at 89 South Mulberry Street, is bringing “Movie in the Park” back to Poland Park on the first Friday of June, July and August.

The free community event returns Friday, June 4th at 9pm, where “The Tom and Jerry Movie” will be shown.

Free popcorn and drinks will also be served. Spectators are asked to bring their own lawn chair or blanket to sit on in order to watch the free movie.

For several years, prior to last summer, the church has used the free movie night along with their annual Summer Picnic In Poland Park as a free outreach to their neighborhood.

There has been no word yet as to whether there will be a picnic this summer, as state health mandates are due to be dropped June 4th.

The church at 89 South Mulberry Street is also hosting Schmidt’s Restaurant along with Guac N’ Roll food trucks this Sunday (June 6th) between 10:45am-12:45pm. There will be free ice cream treats provided by Smile Orthodontics.
