Paints Hit .500 Mark With 6-5 Win Over Champion City

The Chillicothe Paints took down Ohio Valley- East Division leader Champion City, Thursday, with a 6-5 win. The victory also pulls the Paints to a season record of (3-3) and within 1.5 games out of first behind the Kings.

Trailing at home by a score of 5-0, the Paints scored three runs in the 7th and again in the 8th innings to pull out the one run win.

Champion City tallied their runs with one in the first and four in the 7th before Chillicothe mounted their comeback win to drop the Kings to (5-2) on the season.

Bradley Dunn picked up the win for Chillicothe, working just one inning.

Ryley Preece and Mitchell Vincent each had 2 RBI nights to account for four of the Paints six runs. Alex Ludwick was the lone Paints player with multiple hits, going 2/4 with an RBI.

Chillicothe travels to Champion City on Friday night.
