The Ross County Unit of the NAACP will present Jubilee Day on Sunday, January 15th. The 4pm event will take place at Original Glorious Church of God In Christ, located at 123 West Main Street in Chillicothe.
Jubilee Day commemorates the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation by President Abraham Lincoln, which formally freed enslaved people in the United States on January 1st, 1863.
The speaker for this event will be Elder Mike Maughmer, Pastor of the Original Glorious Church of God In Christ.
