More local golfers from the Southeast District have advanced in tournament play to the districts following Wednesday’s sectional tournaments at Chillicothe Jaycees and Franklin Valley.
At Chillicothe Jaycees, West Union won the team title with a score of 330. Manchester was second with a 335, followed by other qualifiers North Adams 344, Crooksville 371 and Whiteoak 400.
Individual qualifiers are Cameron Phillips of Lucasville Valley (68), Brayden Popp of Southeastern (86), Logan Mahan of Peebles (87), Saxen Wilkin of Lynchburg Clay (88) and Davis Kerns of Adena (90).

At Franklin Valley, Belpre won the team title with a 332. Then came South Webster 351, Dawson Bryant 377, Waterford 378 and Ironton Saint Joe 396.
Individual district qualifiers on a non-qualifying team are Mason Jackson of Federal Hocking (80), Tanner Lisle of Southern (88), Ethan Short of Eastern Meigs (90), Colton McDaniel of Eastern Meigs (98) and Zach North of Trimble (98).
