The track and field team titles were decided Thursday at Northwest High School, with Wheelersburg grabbing the girls team title and Northwest winning the boys championship.
The Lady Pirates team title came with 162 points with the runner-up being Waverly with 135, Third was Northwest 106, Minford 44, Notre Dame 36, Valley 32, South Webster 25, Clay 24, Eastern Pike 19, Ironton Saint Joe 14, Oak Hill 13, Green 12 and Western and Portsmouth West each had one point.
In the boys meet, Northwest is champ with 188 points and Waverly runner-up with 104. The rest of the standings were Minford 77, Wheelersburg 67, Valley 56, Notre Dame 27, Green 24, Oak Hill 22, South Webster 21, Eastern Pike 17, New Boston 11, Portsmouth West 8 and Clay with 2.
