The Unioto Shermans and Zane Trace Pioneers will share the SVC Baseball Championship, as both teams closed conference play Monday with victories. Both have (13-1) SVC records, splitting decisions between them in conference play.
Unioto, who shared the title with Westfall last season, closed out with an 11-1 win over Huntington.
The Pioneers closed with an 8-1 win at Piketon.
In SVC Softball, Unioto’s Lady Shermans bounced back from their extra inning loss last Friday at Adena, beating Huntington 12-1 Monday, while Adena was upset by Westfall, 7-6.
Unioto claims the undisputed SVC softball championship with a (12-2) conference mark, while Adena’s loss closes their SVC season at (11-3).
