The Falcons of Fairfield Union picked the right time to fire their lowest team score of the 2022 season, using their 319 to cruise to the Division 2 Sectional Championship at Chillicothe’s Jaycees Golf Course.
Circleville was a distant runner-up at 338 followed by Sheridan (345), Unioto (349) and Warren (360)- with each of these five advancing to the district tournament.
Local players advancing as district qualifiers include Jon Grondolsky Jr of Zane Trace and Grant Cline of Logan Elm, each shooting an (85), along with McClain’s David Edwards at (86). Graham Williams of Logan Elm also advanced with an (87).

In the D-2 Boys Sectional Final at Portsmouth Elks Club, Gallia won the team title with a 313 followed by Fairland at 322, Wheelersburg, Piketon and Waverly was the fifth qualifying team to districts.
