(Chillicothe) – The Ross County NAACP will celebrate Jubilee Day and observe the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., at 4pm Sunday, January 14th, at the Quinn Chapel A.M.E Church, 181 West Main Street in Chillicothe.
Jubilee Day commemorates the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation by President Abraham Lincoln, which formally freed enslaved people in the United States on January 1st, 1863.
The speaker for this program will be Rev. Victor L. Davis, Pastor of Quinn Chapel A.M.E Church.
