(CHILLICOTHE) – Adena Health System announced that beginning today it has moved its COVID-19 vaccination administration to a number of its primary care clinics across its nine-county service region. Adena has been administrating COVID-19 vaccines for five months having successfully vaccinated over 10,000 community members and Adena caregivers.
With the shift to COVID-19 vaccinations being done in its primary care clinics, Adena has closed its mass vaccination clinic at the PACCAR Medical Education Center in Chillicothe.
“Adena and our healthcare partners across the state have been successful in getting shots in arms of those wanting to receive the COVID-19 vaccine,” said Adena Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Kirk Tucker. “We have now reached a point though where those still needing to be vaccinated may have concerns or questions, where we feel having those important conversations with their primary care provider can help ease any fears and hesitation about getting the vaccine and provide factual and trusted information.”
Adena primary care locations offering no-cost COVID-19 vaccinations include:
· Adena Family Medicine – Circleville
· Adena Family Medicine – Greenfield
· Adena Family Medicine – Hillsboro
· Adena Family Medicine & Pediatrics – Jackson
· Adena Family & Internal Medicine – Waverly
· Adena Pickaway Ross Family Physicians
· Adena Internal Medicine
Individuals eligible wishing to receive their COVID-19 vaccination through Adena can contact any of the primary care clinics administrating the vaccine directly to schedule an appointment or patients can easily include a COVID-19 vaccination to an existing appointment at one of the locations. Adena’s primary care clinic vaccinations are not drive-thru or walk-in locations.
At this time, Adena primary care clinics are only administering COVID-19 vaccines for individuals 18 years of age and older. Patients are asked to bring photo identification and be prepared to wait approximately 15-30 minutes following their shot for monitoring.

C.J. Carmichael’s two-run double to made it 3-0. An infielder error at first, allowed two BC runners to score making it 5-0.
Ryan Scott’s day on the mound was done after going 3.2 innings. Brad Miller came on in relief for the Indians, but the Bulldogs were not finished. A ground-out fielders choice scored another run. Bloom Carroll scored 6 runs in the fourth inning with three hits and one Hillsboro error. Bulldogs lead Hillsboro 6-0 after four innings.

(COLUMBUS)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine today announced that the Ohio Department of Health is reporting the two-week statewide average of cases per 100,000 residents is 49.5. These cases occured with onset dates in a two-week period from May 22 to June 4, 2021.
“Ohioans have shown our resilience and grit, and by continuing to get vaccinated we are coming through this pandemic stronger than ever,” said Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. “When I announced this goal on March 4th, I said that reaching 50 cases per 100,000 would mean we were entering a new phase of this pandemic. Vaccinations are working. That’s why cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are down. But that doesn’t mean we can let our foot off the gas. If you’re not vaccinated against COVID-19, continue to wear a mask in public and Ohioans that are able to get vaccinated should.”
As of today, more than 5.3 million Ohioans have started the vaccination process, making up 45.9% of all Ohioans and 40.5% of Ohio adults, and 4.7 million are fully vaccinated.
Case rates per 100,000 residents have been monitored throughout the pandemic and were as high as more than 900 cases per 100,000 residents in data from December 14, 2020. Specifically, 939.1 cases per 100,000 were reported for the period of November 30 through December 13, 2020. Prior to today, the last time Ohio fell below 50 cases per 100,000 residents was on June 25, 2020, when 49.7 cases per 100,000 were reported for the period of June 11 through 24, 2020.
Case rates per 100,000 residents are calculated as an average over a 14-day period, and exclude cases among incarcerated individuals. The data is calculated based on illness onset date, not report date. Each day, when new cases are added to the COVID-19 dashboards, they are attributed to the date of illness onset.
Although this is a positive indicator in the fight against COVID-19, the threat of the virus remains. Individuals should continue taking proper preventative measures including washing, and sanitizing hands and surfaces frequently. While masking is no longer mandated, unvaccinated Ohioans should continue wearing masks indoors or in crowded settings where social distancing is not possible. Businesses and organizations can continue to require masking regardless of an individual’s vaccination status, including in healthcare settings.
